Muxtape Hacked?
This is what my (and everyone else’s) muxtape looks like right now:
And you can’t edit your songs. I tried deleting these, and just got an ERROR message. Bleh. Not THAT huge fo a deal, as I’ve been updating my muxtape regularly anyhow, so I don’t mind re-uploading all that much. I’m not even that mad, just kinda like “huh?” And I’m not going to listen to the song.
Update: Muxtape.com is now down — they’re probably fixing it. And the songs will most likely be restored. Not bad.
Annoying stunt. I can’t imagine the positives of getting noticed like this can outweigh the negatives of jacking up the entire site. I call shenanigans.
Um, I just discovered the same problem. At first I was angry with my friend who linked me to a random Muxtape, which I assumed was the cause. But my roommate’s Mux is the same way and she hasn’t touched it in days. I don’t know whats going on but it IS a little frustrating.
I just wrote about this also. I’ve emailed the Muxtape team but no reply yet. Do you think it was a stunt?! I expect the are running around trying to fix it!
The worst is that you can’t edit these songs out right now. I would just start uploading my songs again immediately.
Yeah, it has to be some sort of stunt. This would be a really weird bug. haha
According to their blog, someone hacked the server. But they are aware of the problem and they’ve taken the site down as a precaution.
